Week 8 of the WattsWatt Countdown to Cold

We passed another milestone in the 100-Day Countdown to Cold this week. With only 43 days remaining at the start of the week, the countdown is becoming very real - and the energy decisions households make now will determine how much affordable heat they can use when temperatures begin to fall.

Highlights

• WattsWatt passed £700,000 in independently calculated social value. This has been achieved from just £50,000 of investment, demonstrating the scale of the return that early energy support can create for households, communities and public services.
• We helped a lady and her young daughter living in a mouldy environment to cut £130 from their energy bills to avoid mould - that tipped our social value total over the £700,000 mark. We look forward to sharing more of their story.
• Our Warm & Well Wednesday live sessions are all coming together nicely - we intend to make sure every household we support has full control of their heating system before the cold weather comes.
