Week 7 of the WattsWatt Countdown to Cold

We hit the halfway point of the 100-Day Countdown to Cold this week - only 50 days to go until the heating season begins. The decisions households make now about their energy tariff could determine how much affordable heat they have available when temperatures start to fall.

Highlights

• This week we have been revealing the scores on the doors. At WattsWatt we ask households to rate their current supplier out of 5 stars, and we revealed the winners and losers to guide consumers on who best to choose to deliver their energy service.
• We published a video of our co-founder and CEO, Lisa, interviewing a semi-retired gardener, Neil, who uses a life-saving medical apparatus every night as he sleeps. With support from WattsWatt, Neil has cut his energy bills by £230 this winter, by switching from a variable tariff with Octopus to a fixed tariff with Ecotricity.
• We have also been preparing for our Warm and Well Wednesdays, which begin in September and will bring together heating engineers, healthcare professionals, indoor air quality experts and academics to share practical advice with households ahead of winter.
