Week 3 Update
Week 3 of the WattsWatt Countdown to Cold
1 – 7 July 2026
Week three of the 100 day countdown and the cold has been HOT! Red flag education continued, new council and NHS partnerships took shape, and we announced plans for Warm and Well Wednesdays.
Highlights
- After meeting a wonderful chap named Paul on Sutton's High Street and unlocking an EXTRA £230 a year in less than 60 seconds, we published a video to show the red flags (see video).
- Red flag education continued this week - we've been educating our 3,750-strong social media community on the importance of not sitting on the price cap, and making sure people know that some of the bigger suppliers may not be the cheapest.
- Shhhhhh - top secret right now, but we made progress on a key healthy homes partnership with an NHS integrated care board - watch this space.
- After seeing the benefits of WattsWatt's various consumer champion features and resources, East Riding Council has commissioned WattsWatt to create a 'how to stay warm and well in your home' resource.
- We are planning our 'Warm and Well Wednesdays' series - from 2nd September, households across Great Britain will be invited to join live online discussion and Q&A sessions all about how to stay warm and well at home. We'll have heating engineers, healthcare practitioners, indoor air quality professors and home health experts sharing tips and advice from 7-8pm every Wednesday on Facebook, with recordings available via YouTube. You can also submit questions beforehand. More to follow!
- We have been busy preparing the research strategy for a new report on reducing consumer debt.
