Utilita Energy Joins WattsWatt to Unlock Heat Hours for Households Across Britain
July 20, 2026
Utilita Energy has become the third energy supplier to join WattsWatt – the national energy information service – alongside Outfox Energy and My Energy, in a growing movement to help households maximise affordable warmth by improving access to energy information.
WattsWatt is a public health innovation that ranks tariffs according to the amount of energy they unlock for each individual household. Users can also access a home health assessment, check their eligibility for energy efficiency grants, and identify energy improvements suitable for their home.
Lisa Malyon, Co-founder and CEO of WattsWatt, said:
"Affordable warmth is fundamental to good health, financial resilience and a stronger economy. Too many households delay heating use and ration heating during winter unnecessarily, simply because they don't know how to find the right tariff.
"We created WattsWatt to put households first. Having trusted, larger suppliers like Utilita Energy support that vision demonstrates that the industry is ready for a new way of helping consumers."
Utilita Energy has built its reputation on digitally connecting households to provide a superior smart Pay-As-You-Go experience. Its award-winning app, best-in-class Friendly Credit hours, and nationwide network of Energy Hubs offering face-to-face support make it the supplier of choice for customers who want to take back control of their energy use.
Louise Walsh, Chief Customer Contact Officer of Utilita Energy, comments on the partnership:
"Households benefit when they have access to clear, trusted information that helps them make informed decisions about their energy. WattsWatt brings together energy affordability, home health and practical support in a genuinely innovative way. We're pleased to support its mission."
WattsWatt complements the ways households already search for energy tariffs by combining independent tariff information with personalised advice on affordable warmth, energy efficiency, government support and home health. The service enables households to:
- Compare energy tariffs to identify the most suitable option for their home.
- Receive a personalised Home Health Report.
- Check eligibility for government grants and support schemes.
- Explore energy efficiency improvements and low-carbon technologies.
- Access telephone support from trained advisers.
As an independently owned social enterprise, WattsWatt is committed to putting household outcomes at the centre of every recommendation. To preserve its independence, WattsWatt invites energy suppliers to support the service through a flat annual contribution based on the number of electricity meters they serve, rather than paying commissions for customer switches.
WattsWatt is accredited by BetterBritain.org, a healthy home movement which seeks to improve public health by creating warmer, healthier and more energy-efficient homes.
Since launching in December 2025, WattsWatt has helped households unlock more than 83,500 additional heat hours through improved access to support, creating £679,000 in social value. Utilita Energy, Outfox Energy and My Energy will be joined by more large energy suppliers due to be announced this summer.
Access for all
To ensure everyone can access the new support service, WattsWatt also has a phone line enabling households to call and share a few details from their latest energy bill – 03306338811 (local rate).
WattsWattPro is a simple-to-use SaaS dashboard used by third parties including housing associations, councils, community groups, social prescribers and charities to support their communities in making informed energy decisions to avoid fuel poverty, mould and damp.
